scars to your beautiful

Have you ever heard that song called Scars to your beautiful,  by alessia cara? I have been listening to it a lot lately and it has stuck with me so much. She brings an impressive message about loving yourself and your looks, and not having to change for anyone else. I learn more and more of how important this message is. what else that i love about this song is that it isn't just towards women, it goes for men too.

"And you don't have to change a thing, the world could change its heart
No scars to your beautiful, we're stars and we're beautiful"

"No better you than the you that you are
No better life than the life we're living
No better time for your shine, you're a star
Oh, you're beautiful, oh, you're beautiful" ~Alessia Cara

This song and music video is so refreshing. This is something i have struggled with and honestly, i'm not even fully there yet. we're all too hard on ourselves, we don't give ourselves enough credit and we think we are weak for breaking down. there is strength in breaking down and letting your feelings out. being strong has nothing to do with holding your feelings in and not being yourself.

"She don't see her perfect, she don't understand she's worth it
Or that beauty goes deeper than the surface
So to all the girls that's hurting
Let me be your mirror, help you see a little bit clearer
The light that shines within" ~Alessia Cara

There's beauty in everything, especially in you. i believe in this and everyday i am striving to be believe it even more. If we believe that we are perfect the way we are, nothing can bring us down. i want to get all the way there and i know i can, just like anyone else. everyone has their battles, but there's beauty in those battles. The struggles, the pain and the scars we have are what make us who we are. ugh, i wish i would have believed in this when i was younger. so i really hope if you have the chance to change your views and if you ever come upon yourself as confident, beautiful, smart, funny and etc., let yourself fall in love with those qualities, embrace it and work at it everyday. believe in this with me.

believe in yourself.

thanks for reading. xoxo, i love you guys
